Back in the day, it worked better to reach out to prospects with a completely neutral message.
Something like “how’s it going?”
And from there, have a conversation with the prospect, find out if they qualify for your product or service, and then work the conversation towards a call.
Now, people are fed up with the “fake” conversation, and they want you to cut straight to the chase.
This presents a great opportunity for founders, because as long as your list is well-researched and each prospect clearly checks the boxes to be a potential customer, this direct outreach can work wonders.

If they’re interested, they’ll let you know, and you can either book a call or explain your offer right there.
